Re our THREE WEEK trip in India over December 2009 / January 2010

It’s not very often that one can report a 10 out of 10 when one hires a service in a foreign land, because there will usually be a misunderstanding over some (perhaps small) issue or other. But in this case, I am so delighted to report back to you, NOT A SINGLE MISHAP, ANWHERE, ANYTIME!!!!!

Prabhu, it was the most special trip I have done in ages, not only because India IS, as the tourism department says, such an INCREDIBLE country, but also due to your first class service.

Not a single driver or guide arrived late. Not one reneged on their duty. Each and every one of them was informative and delightful. We did not on any occasion feel that we were treated with anything but the highest degree of respect and service.

Regarding you personally, from the moment we first spoke on the phone, I felt comfortable and secure, as if I’d known you for years. Your regular calls to us every few days whilst in India, made us feel great and confident that you had our arrangements under control.

Once again, I cannot thank you enough for all your services. I hope this leaves you in no doubt that I will be recommending your service to anyone I know who is headed your way, and that includes us, because we will be coming back, that’s for sure!

We are still, you won't believe it, dealing with the jet lag trying to get some sleep at night. It may take a few more days to get back to normal.

We throughly enjoyed your hospitality and thank you for making us feel at home.

We had a great time exploring North India, We left Delhi with sweet memmories.

Divine Voyages made it happen. The crew were caring and very courteous. They always cared about our welfare and safety, give our regards to the driver Mr. Onkar. The choice of hotels were excellent. We were always pleasantly surprised to see one of your representatives waiting for us at all the hotels to make sure everything is in order. What a service! On top of that you kept in touch with us everyday. The trip was worth every penny, and thank you so much for taking care of us like royalty.

Now all our friends know the name Prabhu and some of them will be contacting you soon. We hope to see you in a few years. Give our regards to Sudha and your precious child.

Our Driver Soni was very patient, considerate and a very nice fellow, his hospitality made us feel unafraid and secured.

The Guides have done their jobs very well. We are satisfied with the itinerary you have customized and prepared for us, our expectations have been met.

I just wanted to let you know how wonderful our trip was of Northern India. It was a short trip for me, but we were very pleased with our hotels, the guides and the service!! I also wanted to mention that Sonni (Sony), our driver, was an absolutely amazing guide. He has a great personality and with this being our first time to India, he made us feel extremely comfortable and safe. His driving skills were amazing as well, always maneuvering with ease through traffic, and in India, it sure seemed like a difficult challenge. It has been a long time since I have contacted you but we haven'tforgotten you. How can we? When you gave us such a wonderful time while we were in India. We are all ok here in UK and as the winter is drawing nearer, it has started to get cold. But this time, we are escaping to Australia at the end of November up to the middle of December  for 3 weeks to attend my niece's wedding.

We will be visiting India again, sometime next year but I will contact you at the time.

In the meantime, I have got one of our relation visiting New Delhi  (see e-mail below). I would be glad if you can help them out.

Thank you for arranging the tour for us. Everything went smoothly. Mr Jain was very helpful in sorting out some issues we had with the Marina on the first night and the driver and vehicle were excellent. The only problem we had was with the Marina which was as bad as we had been led to believe by the feedback we read on the Internet.

At the Holiday Inn Jaipur there was a problem with one of the rooms on the first night and they agreed to charge us only for one room plus 2 extra beds on the first night, and for both rooms on the second night. They said they would invoice you a reduced amount accordingly. Please credit this back when you get their invoice.

Thankyou very much for arranging a trip to Delhi-Agra-Jaipur in last year.
As scheduled we travelled to these places in mid December.and had a very great memorable experience.

This tour was organised very well by the Indian operator Mr Prabhu Kumar and his team of Divine Voyages Pty Ltd.  The tour guides and drivers are excellent with their friendly service from the time we landed in Delhi until we finished our tour.  Accommodation and food were very good.

When I am sharing my experience with my friends, I will be certainly recommend your service and your association with Indian tour operators.

Dear Ravi,

Just a quick note to report back that our holiday was very successful, and to thank you for your arrangements which all went very smoothly - even the monsson weather was kind to us!

The Divine Voyagers  representative and driver met us as planned at Kochi Airport and were very efficient. Brunton Boatyard Hotel was excellent and we wished we could have stayed there another night - very stylish. The house boat was a great place to relax and watch the world paddle by. We thought Munnar was beautiful and saw the Nilgiri Thar and Nilgiri Pipit in the Erivakalam park and  we also saw the ruins of the first hotel you planned to put us in. The alternative Blackberry Hills was was good with big views across the valley though you had to be quite fit to walk up and down the hillside for meals!

We enjoyed Kodai, Coonoor and Ootacamund, but we missed the big views from these because of clouds.
Then we met up with friends in Nagarahole and found some good wildlife at the very well run Kabini River Lodge.

With all that and a great time in Sri Lanka beforehand, we feel very priveledged and fortunate to have had such great experiences and thank you for your part in making this possible.

If you ever visit Marlborough it would be good to meet, but meanwhile,

Both Pat and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kerala and would like to explore other states within India in the future.

We are still talking about the experiences of this year so it may be a year or two before we make another visit.

We were appalled at the recent tragic loss of life in the terrorist incidents in Mumbai and do sincerely hope that these acts will not deter the tourists in 2009.

I was delighted to see the return of the England cricket team although I would have hoped for a more even result.

Earlier this week I was talking about our holiday in India and my good friends Terry & Jenny Waterfall asked about the possibility of using the train as a hotel and visiting the sights across several states in India.

I believe you arranged something similar for Ron & Liz Neale a couple of years ago and I have therefore emailed Terry with your contact details.

 Just to let you know we arrived back yesterday to a very cold UK

 What a fantastic time we had in Kerala - enjoyed every minute of it, but it is thanks to you that it all went so smoothly.

 Twelve individuals have different expectations and requirements and some can be more demanding than others, but everyone said how impressed they were with your organisation, care and concern for their needs.

 I think you have one a lot more new fans who will be singing your praises to their friends should they wish to come to India.

 My only personal complaint was that it was unreasonable for the India Cricket team to be beating the English so soundly !! They did it again today.

up at the arrival stations, on trains exactly on the door of the coach. 
The hotels were great with excellent service everywhere.

Hello Prabhu  (and Manjit too !)

We're home and in between unpacking, washing etc. while the memories are fresh just wanted to thank you and your Company for our wonderful trip - all so well organised, no slip ups at all and of course what can I say about "our special driver".  Besides his great expertise at the wheel he was great company - our so called "free time" never seemed to happen as we were off on shopping of our choice, rick-shaw rides through the busy markets (Jaipur), searching for sports shops for Max ( yes, he bought 4 cricket bats!!)  decking out Trevor with a new wardrobe !  -  I could go on and on !
So many highlights - the Palace Hotels ( we were upgraded to de-luxe suites at The Samode Palace Hotel);  You were apprehensive about The Imperial in Agra -we loved it !   Old fashioned, regal and a lovely lawn.  

We loved Calcutta & Darjeeling even more !   So pleased we had that interlude.  The Windamere is unbelievable - great people, great food, great New Years Eve party - met an Australian couple who have been going to the Windamere for 17 years for Christmas and New Year and onto Goa for 3 months.
Funnily in Calcutta they always stay at The Fairlawn - Amanda and I took a taxi there as it was an option for us at the time - we were curious !   Can see why you steered us away !!

And we remember our experience at The Deogarth - we met The Marajah ( he even invited us to view his cars on the way out)  and his son The Prince joined us on the balcony for drinks the evening before - such charming people.

Hi, Manjit - we missed you after Agra - somehow the "others" didn't measure up !

Jill & I are back home safe and sound after a most fascinating trip to India. 

We couldn’t be more pleased with how everything worked out!  Jill & I were very pleased with all of the services that you provided.  Our drivers and guides were very helpful.  In particular we appreciated guides Prem Singh in New Delhi, Davendra in Jaipur, Mukul in Varanasi, and Priya in Amristar, and of course our driver from New Delhi to Agra and Jaipur, Kartar.  We were also very pleased with the other representatives from your company and its related affiliates in the cities that we visited who either met us at the airports or helped us get settled in at our hotels.  In particular in this regard, we were very pleased with Harish Singh who stayed with us for almost 4 hours at the airport in Varanasi when our flight to Khajuraho was delayed.  And of course we can’t say enough about Mr. Jain in New Delhi, who helped us in every way possible.

Thank you once again for all that you and your associates did to make our trip to India the most interesting 3 weeks that Jill and I have spent in many, many years.

Sorry I could not get back to you as promised,  as I went down with a bad virus flu on arrival here in UK. Have been in bed for the last 10 days. just getting back on my feet.
Anyway regarding the trip thank you very much for organising it. The overall organisation was very good.
1. It was well organised and we appreciate the help given by Mr Jan,  in meeting us at the hotel in Delhi and briefing us, then taking us to the airport to board the local flights and also collecting us from the airport on our arrival from Varanasi. Please thank him for his very courteous and efficient service.
2. The two drivers provided for both trips, the trip to Agra and also the trip from Patna to Varanasi were very good. They were very careful drivers and we enjoyed their company

3. The guides provided at different sites were very good too. Oveall we were very happy with the tour and would certainly recommend your service to others. We certainly would like to come back again. Apart from the spiritual aspect of the tour, we really enjoyed the historical aspect too. India is a marvelous country and I think it has a lot to offer to the tourist.

I am writing to thank you for the excellent organisation of our recent 33 day holiday in India. Four of us wanting a special experience for the celebration of our 60th birthdays, decided India was the place we wanted to visit and following a great deal of research and negotiation we had a most memorable trip.

Essential to the trip being a success was the excellent organisation and coordination of our many modes of transport, tours and accommodation in the 15 cities we visited. We had no problems at all with any of our travel connections and were greeted and farewelled by our very friendly and knowledgeable local travel agents, guides and drivers in each city. We travelled by planes, day and overnight trains, motor vehicles, elephants, camels and boats all over India and not a single hiccup.

The food was excellent and we ate Indian food for the entire trip. It was a gourmet’s delight. We celebrated our collective birthdays at the superb Indigo Restaurant in Mumbai, booked from Sydney as we wanted to ensure we were able to get a table in the very trendy restaurant. It was a perfect evening for rooftop dining and we had a wonderful night, dressed in our beautiful Indian silk clothes.

Our special accommodation treat was two nights in the Lake Palace, Udaipur where we enjoyed all the luxury it could offer. Our 10 days in Rajasthan we travelled by car with an excellent driver, who later looked after us in Delhi. There was a lot of driving to do with approximately 300km between cities with the occasional stop for photo opportunities, sightseeing and a roadside restaurant. We purchased beautiful antique textiles and jewellery and experienced the enthusiasm and friendliness of the people selling.

Throughout our journey we met many local people and they were always friendly and willing to tell us about themselves. On our train journey to Shimla we shared the small carriage with a family, a couple on their honeymoon and the enthusiasm and excitement was an absolute delight.

Homeward bound we had very full bags and were taking home a great deal of India, as well as many fond memories of the wonderful people we had met along the way, and of course the excellent tour companies, tour guides and drivers who guided us along our way.

Thank you for making our holiday a most enjoyable and memorable time.

I promised to give you a bit more background about Prabhu.

My association with him commenced about 5 years ago when my wife and I booked  a week on Palace on Wheels in Rajasthan  purely at random online. Not only did he get the best deal on the Train, he also provided us with hotel accommodation for two days either side of the week in Delhi plus a guide and the use of a chauffer driven Ambassador car.

His service was faultless and from then on we were 'hooked'

Last year, an eclectic group of friends thought it would be a good idea to go to Kerala. Everyone seemed to have a slightly different agenda, but finally we agreed on a series of hotels throuhgout Kerala to stay at. Prices were obtained for the accommodation direct, which seemed OK I then offered to approach Prabhu to see whether he could organise the whole trip including collection from and delivery to airport and connections between the the various places we wanted to stay at.

Prabhu came back with a complete itinerary that again was cheaper than the price we had obtained direct just for the accommodation.

He flew down from Delhi to Cochin to greet us on our fragmented arrival in Kerala  to ensure that everyone was happy with his arrangements - he even treated us to our first meal at Bruntons Boatyard Hotel

All the arrangements were impeccable, -  he has a very strong network of drivers and guides and he always phoned in whenever a transfer was being made  to check that everyone was happy.

By the end of our holiday  the more sceptical among our group  were completely 'sold' on him.

 You will have gathered that I have no hesitation in recommending Prabhu to you - what is more, he is a charming Indian gentleman, and I shall look forward to renewing our friendship on our next trip to India
